Knezick Achieves Platinum Pro 5000 Status

As part of the festivities at DEMA 2002, Island Dreams' Kenneth D. Knezick was among 50 divers inducted into the Scuba Schools International (SSI) Platinum Pro 5000 Society. Founded in 1992, and dubbed "the world's most elite water explorers," Platinum Pro 5000 is comprised of a select group of 1300 scuba diving professionals from 40 countries around the world.

Knezick was added to this august list of diving industry professionals as a result of his own 25 years of service to the sport of scuba diving. Serving for two decades as a NAUI Divemaster, Ken has been responsible for safely conducting many thousands of dives for hundreds of sport divers.

He has worked with the SEASPACE Exposition since 1981, and from 1987 to the present has served as SEASPACE's Executive Director. Ken is also a founding member of the Gulf Reef Environmental Action Team (GREAT), and is owner and President of Houston-based Island Dreams Travel.

Please join in congratulating Ken Knezick on this achievement, which he hopes reflects well on the entire Houston and Texas diving communities. For more information about the SSI Platinum Pro 500 program, you may visit
