Cuba with Oceans for Youth Foundation

June 29 - July 8, 2017
Package includes two nights in Havana
and seven nights aboard M/V Jardines Aggressor

Note from Island Dreams' Ken Knezick -- We have all been waiting for a legitimate opportunity to visit and dive Cuba. It is the largest Caribbean Island, and has been the forbidden fruit for most of our lifetimes. As a travel business owner in the USA, I have ignored all previous invitations to visit Cuba because they were, at best, skirting the law. Fortunately for us all, this has finally changed. Below you will find details of the Oceans for Youth Cuba program, and it's association with the Jardines Aggressor liveaboard dive vessel. To meet the letter of the law, this program contains stipulations, some of which you may find a tad unusual. These are specifically what enable the program's legitimacy. Consult this information carefully, after which I hope you will consider joining me on this cultural and scuba diving adventure to Cuba. Please contact me personally if you have any questions, or would like to secure your space on this trip. Ken@divetrip.com

Oceans for Youth Cuba Travel Program -- Learn about Cuba's unique marine environment during an Oceans for Youth Foundation People-to-People educational program. Citizens of the U.S. will fly into Havana where they will spend a full day meeting with scientists about Cuba's marine parks. After two nights in Havana, transportation is provided to the southern town of Jucaro, where the M/V Jardines Aggressor liveaboard docks. Guests will depart for six days of scuba diving in the Gardens of the Queen (Jardines de la Reina) National Park, located 60 miles off the southern coast. Biologists will host discussions and presentations covering many topics including proper mooring procedures and installations, fish tagging, commercial fishing and other local environmental issues. The Jardines Aggressor liveaboard is a floating resort with deluxe accommodations, onboard chef, professional crew and state-of-the-art diving amenities. Join in this Oceans for Youth Foundation People-to-People educational tour and learn about the many treasures in this unique Caribbean paradise, Cuba.
