Dining -- The Palms Caribbean Restaurant tempts you with the taste of the tropics as well as serving American and continental cuisines. The Tipsy Turtle Pub is a poolside bar overlooking the beach, specializing in refreshing tropical drinks, and is the gathering place for guests before and after meals. The bar also offers a great menu of food including delicious burgers, fries and salads. If you have special dietary needs, every effort will be made to accommodate those needs.
Valet Diving -- No shirt, no shoes, no worries. Allow our experienced diving staff, Reef Divers, to handle the burden of setting up your dive gear, changing over your tanks and all you have to carry is your personal snorkel gear and memories. Relax and enjoy your ride on our custom-fleet dive boats while exploring the island's elite diving sites. Submerge yourself in the pleasures of a dive as our team takes care of everything else. With this superior diving service, all you have to do is get on the boat and enjoy the ride. All guests receive a dive bag at check-in so you can personally pack your gear. On the day of your dive, just leave your bag outside of your room and our dive team will take care of getting your gear to the boat and setting up on a SCUBA tank. At the end of a long dive, we will take care of rinsing your BCD and Regulators, while you handle the light stuff, your personal snorkel gear and wetsuit. Once you've experienced valet diving, a regular diving experience will never be the same.
Other Activities -- Guests may relax at the Tropical Touch Day Spa, browse Polly's Landing Gift Shop, snorkel on the back reef, and play tennis on a lighted court. Borrow a bike or hike the 35 marked nature trails on the island. Explore the island's blow holes and caves, or try rock climbing on the dramatic limestone Brac. With over 200 species of birds, Cayman Brac is a bird-watchers dream come true!
Shipwreck at the Brac - On Tuesday September 17, 1996 at 5:21 PM, the Russian Naval Destroyer #356, slowly came to rest on the northwest coast of Cayman Brac. This new dive site and tourist attraction is a 330 foot Brigadier Type II class Frigate built in 1984 in Nadhodka, U.S.S.R. The bow of the ship is resting in 110 feet of water and the stern in 55 feet. A remarkable wreck that is an easy 10 minute swim from shore. Snorkelers can mosey over and see the top of the radar tower only 12 feet below them with the bridge just 32 feet from the surface. At the deepest, you will have to descend 54 feet to reach the bow. The propellers rest above the sand at about the same depth as the bow. Located only about 100 yards from shore, the wreck is simple to get to. Renamed the M/V Capt. Keith Tibbetts, divers began diving the site the very next day. Visibility and location are excellent. It is a perfect location for marine life to grow and divers to explore. Already it is home to a couple of Gray and French Angel fish, a small Barracuda whose space is not being challenged, and oysters shells are covering the hull.
